Last week was a quiet one with only the only one runner, HAN SOLO BERGER at Newmarket on Friday. Unfortunately, the heavy rain didn’t arrive until after his race and the ground was too quick for him. In the circumstances, he put up a commendable effort to only be beaten by 3 lengths having not gone on the ground.

Looking ahead to this week, we’ve got HI HO SILVER at Yarmouth on Monday and I hope he can step up on his seasonal return over the same course and distance earlier in the month. ICE LORD heads to Doncaster on Tuesday and, if the ground hasn’t dried up too much, he should run ok. He’s been going well and should hopefully take a step forward from his debut. On Wednesday, we’ve got OH IT’S SAUCEPOT at Kempton. I think she should run ok but probably needs a little bit of help from the handicapper. We’ve nothing on Thursday and Friday, but might have some entries for the weekend.
