The briefest of updates this week with just the one runner over the past few days, MOLLY SHAW running well to finish 3rd at Nottingham on Sunday. The winner made all, setting a good pace. We tracked him through, travelling nicely and it looked for a while as though we might be able to pick him up. As it happened, we never quite got there and, indeed, in trying to catch up with him, that softened her up and we lost 2nd place almost on the line. The ground was fairly lively and, although I thought she would be ok on it, as it turned out, she would have been happier with a little bit more juice the ground. Still, this was another creditable performance.
We should have a few more runners this week, with GREEK OASIS and WALK IT TALK IT likely to go to Kempton on Wednesday evening. FRONT OF LINE also has an entry there but looks unlikely to make the cut. That’s no big deal as she has a couple of alternative options the week after.
PURGATORY is entered at Chelmsford on Thursday. I’m not sure it is the perfect track for him, but I’ll have a look at the other entries and if it is the right race, we’ll probably give it a go. On the same day, ICE LORD is a likely runner at Salisbury.
DOUBLE OR BUBBLE has an entry at Ascot on Friday, but she is more likely to run on Saturday at Newmarket or Ascot.
